It’s day two of burger week and I’m excited to share with you my reuben burger! To be quite honest with you, I don’t know that I’ve ever had a reuben sandwich. For whatever reason I thought, pastrami would be an awesome addition! Yep. Just as I presumed. It was tasty for sure. I also am a huge fan of sauerkraut. I think that stems from when I lived in Germany as a child. I developed a love for bratwursts and sauerkraut (and evidently, German men as well…since I married one!). Speaking of bratwursts, Jessica from One Sweet Appetite, has a ultra clever post on How To Cook A Bratwurst. Check it out! My mind was blown. I digress.
How about this burger huh? If that doesn’t jump out at you begging to be eaten, I don’t know what will. Mmm. I could sink my teeth in to another one right this moment. If you aren’t a sauerkraut fan, have no fear – this is just as phenomenal without it, so take your pick! I used my Homemade Whole Wheat Everything Hamburger Bun for these and they were top notch. Just as the title suggest, these are sure to make your mouth water!
If you think that reuben looks divine…how about those fries? Stay tuned for the recipe, you won’t want to miss it! They are the perfect compliment to any hamburger or sandwich.

Oh yay – so happy you came to check it out. It was mouth watering indeed.
Mouth watering is right! That burger looks amazing!
Morgan seriously loved this burger. He’s a big Ruben fan. We’ve done pastrami but never thought to include sauerkraut.
Woohoo! So glad he liked it so much!
Pastrami on burgers is one of my all time most favorite combos ever. I don’t know if you’ve ever eaten at Crown Burger, but they have the best pastrami burgers ever. Oh great, now my mouth is watering…. stinking pregnancy cravings :)
I actually have eaten at Crown Burger, but haven’t had that particular burger. When I showed my mom this – that is exactly the place she mentioned!
You nailed that title! :) My mouth is watering big time. I could sure eat that up. And those french fries…I think I need some.
N-n-n-nailed it! Woot woot! The fries were way good too – watch for the recipe next week!
This looks awesome!! I love a good reuben and in burger form it must be twice as good! And I can’t wait for the fry recipe, those look incredible!
Thanks Kayley! Fries should be up sometime next week!
Uh yes – my mouth is watering. I LOVE sauerkraut and anything German since my gma was born there and I served my mission there. I’m going to have to add this to my reason to use sauerkraut list! :)
Awesome! Now that I have a jar of sauerkraut in the fridge, I now need a whole list of reasons to use sauerkraut. If you’ve got any good ones… send them my way!
Oh my…. this seriously has my mouth WATERING. You and Amber are such dangerous friends to have! (Too bad we’re only online friends, right? :( ) I say we play soon. And eat food. DUH.
THe name of this burger says it all… truer words have never been spoken: mouth watering!! We’ll play. We’ll eat. Soon!
