It’s day two of burger week and I’m excited to share with you my reuben burger! To be quite honest with you, I don’t know that I’ve ever had a reuben sandwich. For whatever reason I thought, pastrami would be an awesome addition! Yep. Just as I presumed. It was tasty for sure. I also am a huge fan of sauerkraut. I think that stems from when I lived in Germany as a child. I developed a love for bratwursts and sauerkraut (and evidently, German men as well…since I married one!). Speaking of bratwursts, Jessica from One Sweet Appetite, has a ultra clever post on How To Cook A Bratwurst. Check it out! My mind was blown. I digress.
How about this burger huh? If that doesn’t jump out at you begging to be eaten, I don’t know what will. Mmm. I could sink my teeth in to another one right this moment. If you aren’t a sauerkraut fan, have no fear – this is just as phenomenal without it, so take your pick! I used my Homemade Whole Wheat Everything Hamburger Bun for these and they were top notch. Just as the title suggest, these are sure to make your mouth water!

Mouth Watering Reuben Burger
- 1 lb. ground hamburger
- Garlic salt to taste
- Onion powder to taste
- Seasoned salt to taste
- 1/4 lb pastrami thinly sliced
- 1 c. sauerkraut
- 8 slices Canadian Bacon
- 8 slices swiss cheese thinly sliced
Heat grill to medium-high.
Divide hamburger in to eight equal balls. Flatten and season both sides.
Grill to desired doneness. Remove from heat.
Top with canadian bacon, pastrami, sauerkraut, and swiss cheese. Finish off with lettuce if desired.
