Hi! My name is Yvonne Feld and I am a 30-somethin-year-old kitchenaddict, foodaholic, treat-makin’, party-throwin’, bakin’ and takin’ fool. :D Well, that explains me in a nutshell I suppose! Growing up I never imagined my favorite place in our home would be the kitchen. In our quaint and cozy home (to which we have zilcho counter space) I have concocted some of the tastiest, sweetest smelling, yummy edibles. How I got to this point in my life is rather interesting. Oddly enough, when growing up my dad would constantly be asking me to help out with dinner. He would even have to force me to make a meal every so often for the family. I never wanted to do it, much less did I {enjoy} it. Somehow, when I moved out on my own for the first time I decided cooking wasn’t so bad after all. One meal led to another, then another, and now here I am sharing my {passion} with you. It is my passion. I love to cook; Even more so, {I love to cook for others}. There’s nothing more satisfying than preparing a meal for others to enjoy.
I’m no mastermind in the kitchen. I find a recipe I like (or a friend passes one along) and then I try it out. That simple. Sometimes they turn out, sometimes they don’t. Each recipe on my website has been tested (by me), tried, and is true. I won’t post something I haven’t made myself or something I don’t like. You can find recipes anywhere right? Hopefully here you will find more than just a recipe. For most of the recipes I have included my favorite memory making that recipe. I hope you will find delectable edibles that will bring you a smile and hopefully you will be able to create your own special memory.
Aside from cooking, I’m head over heels in love with my husband! In fact, I should have kicked this whole ‘about me’ off with him, because without him there would be no Tried and Tasty. He’s the techie genius behind the scenes that helps makes my dreams come true. Together we like to camp, backpack, hike, travel, spend time with family, spend time with friends, enjoy Indian food, watch Netflix, garden, and just about anything else that involves spending time together. He’s supportive, encouraging, and handles my crazy over-the-top social butterfly personality. I wake up each morning with a thankful heart that I was blessed with someone who completes me more than I ever imagined anyone could. Love my other half.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy – Yvonne

*A very, very special thank you to my dear sweet friend Brittany with brittany marie photography who spent an afternoon with me capturing me in my element. Check out her website, find her on Instagram, and of course find her on Facebook. I am absolutely head over heels in love with all of the pictures she snapped. Hope you love them too!
