This girl loves me some fondue! I decided for Steve’s birthday I would try a new fondue rather than my typical fav’s cheesecake fondue and light and dark fondue. I like this one, the only thing I did wrong was I didn’t use milk chocolate chips – and you could definitely tell there was the slightest hint of bitterness and it wasn’t as sweet as it could have been. Next time :)
Flaming Turtle Fondue
If the name Flaming Turtle Fondue isn't enough alone to draw you in, you've just got to give it a try. It's the perfect balance of caramel and chocolate with the right amount of 'nutty'.
Ingredients
- 1 c. milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. caramel
- 1/3 c. chopped pecans
- 1/2 tsp. water
Instructions
-
For double broiler cooking, place 1 c. chocolate chips in top bowl along with 1/2 tsp. water. Let melt down and stir constantly for 30-45 seconds. Add less water for thicker chocolate, add more water for thinner chocolate.
-
Then add in caramel, blend. Finally add pecans on top for garnish or stir through. Bring your heat down to medium-low after it all has been mixed well.
Recipe Notes
[My 2 Cents]
I used the caramel ice cream topping and it worked wonderfully!

Looks yummy! So, cheesecake fondue? Is the dip cheesecake flavored or are you talking about dipping cheesecake into the fondue? I would love that recipe! Especially if the dip/fondue is cheesecake flavored. Sounds delicious!
Yvonne
