Game Day Wings 'n Parmesan Garlic Fries // Need a game day appetizer? Want some fun finger food that's sure to please a crowd? This power packed combo is sure to give you're guests exactly what they want! | Tried and TastyHi friends! Who is pumped for the big game coming up in a couple of weeks? I must say I’m pretty excited. Mostly for the commercials, but let’s be honest – I’m really all about the food. I’m a foodie so that only makes sense right? I’ve been hashing out ideas for what to serve at the party and when I saw the Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Zesty Herbs and Spice Wings in my freezer I knew they had to be on the menu! Did you see my Fire Grilled Chicken Tacos I posted the other day? They were made using the Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Tenders and they were to die for. Precisely the reason I needed the wings on the game day menu. What I was looking for was a finger food, not too messy, easy to make, and something that feeds a crowd. That’s when these Game Day Wings ‘n Parmesan Garlic Fries were conjured up.

Let me back up for a moment. I had the pleasure of visiting Disneyland for the FIRST time last week. It truly is the happiest place on earth. For lunch we ate at the Cafe Orleans. Have you eaten there? If you go to Disneyland, you must eat there! But take note; You have to have a reservation in advance (even if it’s just the day before). We started things off with the Pommes Frites, which are “Traditional French Fried Potatoes tossed with Parmesan, Garlic, and Parsley served with Cajun Spice Rémoulade”. They were some of the best fries I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. I figured they would be easy enough to duplicate and would pair perfectly with the Fire Grilled Wings. The end result? Perfection. If you haven’t tried the Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Wings, you don’t even understand… so I shall try to explain to you just how amazing they are. It’s some of the juiciest chicken you’ll ever taste. Just heat for 25-30 minutes in the oven and they taste like you’ve pulled them straight off the grill. Very tender and moist! Plus, because they are pre-seasoned, you don’t have to do any extra work. The seasoning is spot on and a taste that you won’t soon forget. Pair Fire Grilled Wings with the fries and you’ve got yourself a delicious game day appetizer that everyone will be talking about long after the big game. The delicious spices complement the fries in such a way you may not ever want to separate the two again! Those are the kinds of meals you want to serve. Those are the kinds of meals you want to remember.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Wings
  • 3-4 c. vegetable oil
  • 4-6 medium russet potatoes
  • 1/2 c. grated parmesan
  • 3 cloves garlic minces
  • 2 tbsp. fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 and heat the Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Wings according to package directions.

  2. Meanwhile, for the fries, pour the oil into a deep fryer or heavy saucepan to reach halfway up the sides and head to 325 degrees.

  3. While the oil is heating, peel potatoes and cut lengthwise into very thin slices (the thinner, the crispier). Cut slices into equally thin strips. Dry the potato sticks thoroughly to prevent hot oil from splattering.

  4. Fry the potatoes in batches so the pot isn't crowded and the oil temperature does not decrease. Cook until tender and lightly browned. Remove and drain on paper bags or paper towels.

  5.  Place in a serving bowl and salt while still hot, top with Parmesan and coat evenly. Add garlic and garnish with parsley. Serve immediately with fresh hot Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Wings.
