People. You are going to DIE at how delicious these meatballs are. I’m not even joking you. Like shut the front door good!
Juicy doesn’t even describe them. They melt. in. your. mouth. If I had one wish at this very moment, it would be to feed you a meatball through your phone screen, computer screen, iPad screen, tablet, or laptop screen. Did I miss anyone? First of all, like whoa. I can’t even collect my thoughts because this dish was THAT good. Award winning! Tired of me bragging yet? I challenge you. Make them for yourself and tell me that they aren’t worth fawning over. I dare you!
Geesh. Now that all of that is out of the way, let’s talk about WHY you need to make these immediately.
Did you catch my One Pot Chicken & Broccoli Tortellini I posted back towards the end of October? Well, my mission in that recipe was one thing: simple. I wanted a quick & easy meal that could be thrown together in one pot. Nailed it. I’m back at it again because time isn’t slowing down (it’s nearly the end of the year!), and if I need more super simple meals in my repertoire, then I’m betting you do too.
While these will take a little longer than 30 minutes, they’re less than an hour and worth every second of the extra time. While you’re waiting for them to finish, you can prep your sides. A salad would be most excellent and fresh bread would be a nice touch. You don’t even need pasta but if you’d like some then by all means boil up your favorite pasta noodles!
You may already have everything you need on hand. First and foremost, I made sure I used one of my favorite pasta sauces. Prego Traditional Pasta Sauce was simply beautiful in this recipe. What I love about Prego is that it tastes homemade. Homemade with real ingredients you can taste and see! The rest of your ingredients are as follows: ground turkey, bread crumbs, onion diced, fresh chopped basil, egg, ricotta, and salt and pepper.
Get yourself a large bowl and start throwing everything in!
Form the ground turkey mixture into 12 evenly sized meatballs. The easiest way to get uniform meatballs would be to use an ice cream scoop. Two inch-sized are perfect!
Brown quickly on the stove-top before popping these babies into the oven. Be very careful when you turn them (especially if your pot is crowded like mine is). These little guys are so tender that they will crush easy, so be gentle!
Once you’ve poured your Prego Traditional sauce over the top, bake at 375 degrees for 30-45 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees (if you’ve got a meat thermometer). Garnish with freshly grated parmesan cheese and a little bit of fresh chopped basil. Enjoy!

DELICIOUS!!!!
Yvonne
So happy you liked them!
Rachel
These look amazing, but we have a dairy sensitivity in our house. Any suggestions to replace the ricotta?
Yvonne
Hmm… I’m not very good at food alergies and substitutions. If you left it out they wouldn’t be as moist, so I’m not sure what you could replace it with. I’m sorry!

That looks delicious. Let me give you one tip – next time try replacing the breadcrumbs with corn flower. The taste is EXQUISIT!
Yvonne
Really?? I’ll have to give that a try for sure!! Thank you!
