I am a 27-year-old kitchenaddict, foodaholic, treat-makin’, party-throwin’, bakin’ and takin’ fool.
Well, that explains me in a nutshell I suppose! I am a young newly wed who never imagined my favorite place in our home would be the kitchen. In our quaint and cozy apartment I have concocted some of the tastiest, sweetest smelling, yummy edibles. How I got to this point in my life is rather interesting. Oddly enough, when growing up my dad would constantly be asking me to help out with dinner. He would even have to force me to make a meal every so often for the family. I never wanted to do it, much less did I {enjoy} it. Somehow, when I moved out on my own for the first time I decided cooking wasn’t so bad after all. One meal led to another, then another, and now here I am sharing my {passion} with you. It is my passion. I love to cook; Even more so, {I love to cook for others}. There’s nothing more satisfying than preparing a meal for others to enjoy.
I’m no mastermind in the kitchen. I find a recipe I like (or a friend passes one along) and then I try it out. That simple. Sometimes they turn out, sometimes they don’t. Each recipe on my website has been tested (by me), tried, and is true. I won’t post something I haven’t made myself or something I don’t like. You can find recipes anywhere right? Hopefully here you will find more than just a recipe. For most of the recipes I have included my favorite memory making that recipe. I hope you will find delectable edibles that will bring you a smile and hopefully you will be able to create your own special memory.
When I am not in the kitchen you can usually find me and my husband Steve in our office. Steve on his computer, and me on my laptop. I’m not so much of an internet surfer, I usually get bored after about 10 minutes. So I’m either blogging, researching recipes, or making my next Shutterfly book. Steve is a web designer (thank you honey for my fabulous website) so he spends a lot of time with that, or his other passion is promoting Christian Rap. Ever heard of it? I hadn’t until he introduced me to it. It’s pretty amazing and very powerful, you should check it out. If we aren’t in the office you may find us on the couch cuddled up together enjoying our latest Netflix rental, at Red Mango sharing our favorite treat, or spending quality time with friends and family.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy – Yvonne
