This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Lean Cuisine, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #HonestlyGood #ad

I recently joined a six-week health challenge hosted by my friend Kami over at No Diets Allowed. It consists of goals in the following areas: exercising, drinking water, getting sufficient sleep each night, incorporating a new habit, kicking a bad habit and most importantly to me – a meal plan.  The meal plan I chose was counting calories. I’ve been counting my calories on and off for several years and it was time for me to get back in to it.

What better way to stay on track with my daily calorie goals than with a Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meal? Lean Cuisine has launched a NEW collection of Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals featuring six different varieties full of 100% all natural, wholesome ingredients with a sauce you can add yourself.

My favorite way to track my calories is with MyFitness Pal. When initially setting up my profile, once I entered in my personal information and exercise habits it automatically set a daily calorie goal for me. My goal is 1260 calories per day. I try to break up my meals with a 300-350 calorie breakfast, lunch and dinner and then two 100-125 calorie snacks in between.  Keeping my body fueled helps my metabolism keep running throughout the day. Here’s an example of my day yesterday:

With Lean Cuisine I can pre-plan my lunch or dinner knowing exactly how many calories I will be consuming. The best part about it is how quick and easy it is.  Last week I was in a hurry after work rushing to be somewhere and I needed a quick bite to eat. Not only was my dinner ready in a matter of minutes, it was both delicious and portable. The beauty however is you can enjoy a Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meal on the go, or if you have the time you can sit around the dinner table with a healthy perfectly portioned serving.

The six varieties of the new Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals are: Honey Citrus Chicken, Lemongrass Salmon, Pineapple Black Pepper Beef, Plum Ginger Grain-Crusted Fish, Pomegranate Chicken, and Roasted Red Pepper Chicken. You can find them in the freezer section of your local Target store.  I tried all but the Pineapple Black Pepper Beef and the Roasted Red Pepper Chicken. I must say, I was pleased! My favorite [pictured below] was the Pomegranate Chicken.  It was absolutely delicious. The flavors worked so well together.

Take a look at the nutritional information of the Pomegranate Chicken. Since the beginning of the year, I’ve become a “label looker” and I couldn’t be more pleased with the ingredients found in this meal.

I am half-way through the challenge and I couldn’t be more pleased with how I have done. Currently, my team is in 2nd place with only a small handful of points separating us from Team #1. The Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals have helped keep me within my calorie goals, provided me with the perfect portion each time, and a healthy great tasting lunch or dinner that I can feel great about eating. I’m confident that my team can pull in the lead!

Aimee you are so sweet – yours turned out awesome as well! Next time your Target gets more variety in, you will have to try them! I’ve got great teammates that are helping keep me strong – I’m confident we will continue to do well!

Wow! Those freeze meals look really good. I’m glad there are healthy options out there. I haven’t bought freezer meals for a long time but back when I did in college they were almost all so bad for you!

You are absolutely right! There are lots of icky things lurking in the freezer section – steer clear of those and head straight to Lean Cuisine!
