Jenn McCormick is the lucky winner #1 of the “Submit Your Recipe”. I was so excited when she passed this recipe for Best Ever Soft Pretzels along and very eager to try it! The only problem I had was deciding whether or not I wanted cinnamon sugar, plain, Parmesan or dipped in cheese! Recipe Notes
[My 2 cents]
Be very careful not to over mix the dough, over mixing will result in tough pretzels rather than soft and chewy. Also, if you don't want to shape the dough into pretzels you can do as I did and just cut them into bite sized pieces, those are fun!

Yvonne I love pretzels. The only part I do not like about making them is the raising and the boilng in baking soda. I seen this and Wow~~~I got so excited. Thank you for posting this and thank you for shareing all that you share! Have a great evening and a wonderful rest of the week.

Just made these…they are easy and awesome! Perfect with a beer for the football game. :)
Yvonne
I’m so glad you like them! Thanks for letting me know :)
Do you think I could freeze half of the dough and they would still come out the same?
Yvonne
For this particular recipe, because it is a drier dough I probably wouldn’t recommend it. But it’s so quick to throw together – you could have fresh in no time :)
Sounds great. I’ve been looking for a soft pretzel recipe to try with the kiddos. One question, though…. does the dough need to proof/rise before being formed?
Yvonne
Yay! I’m glad you found this one :) This recipe is so quick and simple the dough does not need to proof or rise. It can be formed right away. Hope you like it, let me know if you have any other questions.
I am so excited to try these! What a fun activity for this weekend. Thanks Yvonne!

We love the pretzels from pretzel maker…you know the bite sized ones, then you dip them in cheese…yummy! But pricey…so they are only an extra special treat! So when I showed Mitchell that I could make them myself he wanted to make them right away! We are definitely trying these this weekend!

Last week I had a pretzel from Auntie Em’s and it was topped with a candied almonds. You know like the ones that you get at the county fairs. I fell in love with the pretzel. I should try this recipe and try to find one for the almonds.
