This is hands down my favorite pizza dough! It's absolutely phenomenal and will provide you the perfect pizza every time. Make it today!
Preheat oven to 425 F.
Mix together dry ingredients. Slowly add water until dough is a nice texture. Knead dough if you wish. Add a tbsp of vegetable oil to kneading process to make easier. Set aside to rest/rise while preparing other toppings and sauce.
Roll out dough onto greased cookie sheet (it will be more like a kneading process, work dough to the corners of the cookie sheet).
Top with sauce, cheese and favorite toppings. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Watch carefully to be sure pizza doesn't burn. Cool for a few minutes.
[My 2 Cents]
When letting the pizza rise, smooth a tsp of vegetable oil over dough for easier handling when rolling over cookie sheet.
If you like stuffed crust: you will need approx 10 string cheeses. Unwrap and place on the edges of the cookie sheet. Roll the dough with the string cheese towards the outside of the cookie sheet. Make sure string cheese is completely covered by dough. During baking cheese will ooze out of the corners which is normal.
For a healthier pizza: you can substitute the flour for **whole wheat flour**. Whole wheat flour tends to be more dry than regular flour, so if you are substituting you will need to almost double the water to 2 1/2 c. Add the extra 1 1/4 slowly and work the dough until a soft ball forms, only use as much water as you need.
Serving alternatives: if you want to try something different, use this dough recipe to make cheese sticks. Simply cut the dough into small palm-sized balls. Flatten and roll around a string cheese stick, secure edges and lay crease side down. Cheese will ooze, the better you secure the less they will. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with pizza sauce as dipping sauce. I like to cut pepperoni into tiny pieces and add to the dipping sauce for more of a pizza taste.
