Banana Bars are a delicious breakfast or dessert when you're in the mood for something other than banana bread! Serves a crowd and easy to throw together.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together sugar, sour cream & butter or margarine.
Add mashed bananas, salt, vanilla, flour, baking soda & chopped nuts.
Grease and flour pan. Bake at 375 F for 20-25 minutes.
While baking, prepare your frosting. Cream all ingredients together. Frost while warm. Cut into bars and enjoy.
[My 2 Cents]
For a healthy alternative, substitute whole wheat flour for regular flour. I used the whole wheat flour for the full 2 cups, but in the future I would use half whole wheat and half all-purpose flour, the whole wheat tends to be a lot drier. You can hardly tell the difference and they will be a little better for you.
