Ingredients

  • 1 large grapefruit
  • 1 tbsp. raw sugar

Instructions

  1. Trim 1/4–1/2" of peel from bottom of each grapefruit half to stabilize the fruit (being careful not to cut in to the juicy meat of the fruit). Place grapefruit, cut side down, on paper towels to dry for 5 minutes.

  2. Invert grapefruit and sprinkle 1/2 tbsp. sugar evenly over the top of each grapefruit half. Preheat broiler.

  3. Transfer grapefruit cut side up to a foil-lined baking sheet. Broil grapefruit, watching closely to prevent burning, until the sugar is melted (approx. 8-10 minutes). Let grapefruit cool before serving.
