Apple Crisp

This apple crisp is simply wonderful and so easy to throw together. Dollop on some ice cream and you've got the perfect dessert.  I love a good crisp!

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of apples
  • 1 c. rolled oats
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. softened butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.

  2.  Peel and slice apples (or any other fruit, if you desire) and put in 9x13 baking dish.

  3. Mix together the topping: oats, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and butter, until crumbly. Spread over top of the fruit. 

  4.  Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

As any crisp would be, this is wonderful paired with vanilla ice cream!
