The Ultimate Strawberry Shortcake is the most delicious strawberry shortcake you'll ever sink your teeth into. It's the perfect summertime dessert that will leave you wanting more!
Bake cake according to directions on box. Let cool.
Wash & slice fresh strawberries or defrost frozen strawberries strawberries; set aside.
Mix together cool whip with 1/2 c. powdered sugar; set aside.
Blend cream cheese with 1 c. powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Add cool whip to cream cheese and cream together.
Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over cooled cake. Make danish dessert as directed with 1 1/2 c. cold water instead of 1 3/4 c.
Cool slightly and fold in strawberries. Pour over cream cheese mixture.
Refrigerate until ready to serve. Makes 1 cookie sheet.

You can make your cake in a cookie sheet, 9x13, (2) 9x9's, or (2) 8x8's depending on the thickness you are going for. I personally prefer a thick cake, but really it's just personal preference!
