Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. McCormick Beef Stew Seasoning Mix
  • 2 lbs. stew beef cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 tbsp. whole wheat flour
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • 3 c. water
  • 3 large sweet potatoes more or less depending on preference
  • 1/2 large onion
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 5-10 medium carrots peeled

Instructions

  1. Chop vegetables into small pieces. Prepare stew meat according to directions on McCormick Seasoning mix, coating with whole wheat flour, salt, and pepper.

  2. Mix together seasoning packet & water. Once beef is seared, add all vegetables and water. Cook in oven at 350 F for 2 1/2 - 3 hours, or until vegetables are tender.

  3. Thicken stew with additional flour, depending on preference.
