This Taffy Apple Pizza is a Pampered Chef original. I remember going to my first Pampered Chef demonstration and falling in LOVE with all the wonderful cooking utensils, gadgets, and baking stones. Not only that, they made a wonderful dinner: Taco Ring and this delicious dessert. I’ve taken this to work when it’s been my turn to bring the treat and it’s been requested for me to bring several times since then. Try it, you’ll love it!

Taffy Apple Pizza
This Taffy Apple Pizza will be the star of the party! When you start with a sugar cookie crust, it's hard to go wrong. Add on a creamy layer of peanut butter and cream cheese. Top with sliced apples, caramel, and chopped nuts.
Ingredients
- 1 pkg 20 oz refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 1/4 c. creamy peanut butter
- 1 pkg 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1/2 c. brown sugar packed
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 medium Granny Smith apples
- 1 c. lemon-lime soda
- Cinnamon
- 1/4 c. caramel ice cream topping
- 1/2 c. chopped peanuts
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350 F.
-
Remove 1/2 c. of cookie dough and reserve for another use. Roll dough into a 14-in circle onto a pizza pan. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cookie is lightly browned. Let cool for 10 minutes then loosen cookie. Cool completely.
-
Blend peanut butter, cream cheese, brown sugar and vanilla together until smooth. Spread on cooled cookie.
-
Peel, core and slice apples. Dip apples in lemon lime soda to prevent browning. Arrange apple slices on cream cheese mixture.
-
Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon. Heat caramel topping slightly and drizzle over apples. Sprinkle chopped nuts over pizza. Cut into pieces and serve.
