We are hot on the heels of summer and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve been wanting to delve in to the world of popsicle making for quite some time and I’m even more excited after seeing just how simple they are to make yourself. Today is a fun day around here at Tried and Tasty. Popsicles.
I don’t buy them often, mostly due to the artificial colors, unpronounceable ingredient list, and cost. When I realized that all you need is just an Ice Pop Maker and your favorite fruits I was sold. I didn’t even need any additional sugars (the fruits are sugary enough). If I were to add more sweetener, my choice would be a bit of honey! I used organic strawberries (are you familiar with the Dirty Dozen & Clean Fifteen? You MUST check out my Clean 15 vs. Filthy 15: When Organic Matters post!) and a lemon. That’s it. Easy peasy right?
Sweet & Tart Strawberry Lemon Popsicles
These Sweet & Tart Strawberry Lemon Popsicles are so simple it's almost hard to believe. You get to avoid yucky artificial flavorings, colors, and ingredients and can feel great about what you are feeding your family! Made with only fruits, you'll love the taste of these sweet & tart popsicles!
Ingredients
- 1 quart organic strawberries
- 1/3 c. fresh lemon juice
- 1 c. water
Instructions
-
Core & quarter washed strawberries. Using your high speed blender, blend all ingredients until liquid & smooth. Pour into your popsicle mold & freeze until solid, roughly six-eight hours.
