Quick & Easy Homemade Coleslaw Recipe // Nothin beats a crisp coleslaw to add to your favorite summer meal. Whip this up in no time and serve along side your favorite burgers, some fresh fruit a delicious potato salad and ice cold lemonade! | Tried and TastyDo you know how crazy easy it is to make a homemade coleslaw recipe at home? Ridiculously easy. I don’t know why I thought it would be complicated. I don’t know that I really thought much about it at all. My dad has been on a crazy KFC kick (I’ve tried talking him out of it) and buys the coleslaw almost every time as his side dish of choice. Although I must admit it’s pretty tasty, I can tell you right now I don’t want to know what’s in their coleslaw recipe. Or do I? No. I don’t. It’s just better that I make my own. In a controlled environment you can adjust the sugars and things. At a restaurant? Not so much.

Thanks for the coleslaw recipient, its the first time I made it from scratch an its great with left over meatloaf on a sandwich!

The shredded cabbage I bought had the carrots included in the mix – if yours doesn’t, you’ll want to add shredded carrots!

I tried this for the first time tonight for dinner. It turned out great, my husband and father-in-law loved it as did myself. I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends.

This has been my go-to recipe all Summer…its excellent and better the next day. I like to chop my cole slaw mix in the Cuisinart rather than leave it shredded. I think that makes it ‘Dixie Style’ Thanks for the recipe!

Coleslaw immediately makes me think of my Grandma! I love Coleslaw, but have to confess, I’ve never made it from scratch. I think it may be time to change that! ;)

I LOVE recipes that make me think of the special people in my life. Love them! You’ve got to try this from scratch. So easy. So delicious!

You’ve found the two things I refuse to eat: coleslaw and potato salad…. But again, if it’s a controlled environment and I know exactly what’s in it, maybe I wouldn’t hate it? Open your mind Kaylynn…. try it….

Really?!?! Ha! You’ve got to try mine! You just wait till we have our blogger bbq.. maybe I will make one of the two of them just for you to taste!

I love cole slaw as much as potato and mac salad! Basically, there isn’t a side dish I don’t love during BBQ season!
