I’m a seafood lover. The hubs is not. However, he will have salmon occasionally. While I was at Harmons Grocery Store recently I picked up some salmon knowing that it would be easy to make a dinner out of. If you haven’t tried my Honey Mustard Salmon with Roasted Asparagus it is worth a peek. What I like about this recipe is just how quick and easy it is. With the temps starting to warm up I’m already itching for grilling season. There’s nothing easier than grilling salmon in a foil packet. Next on my list of ‘ways to prepare’ is trying the cedar plank method. That gives it great flavor!
I pinned this recipe from Sunny With A Chance of Sprinkles several months ago (probably last grilling season) and I’m so excited that I finally got to try it! It turned out exactly how I thought: PERFECT! The fish was perfectly flaky, moist, and flavorful. Not only that, it was done in no time flat. Thankfully I had some leftover rice in the fridge that I threw together with it for a really quick meal.
Quick & Easy Grilled Salmon
A healthy Grilled Salmon dinner option that is packed with flavor!
Ingredients
- 1 6 oz. salmon
- 2 tsp. fresh dill
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1/2 lemon thinly sliced
Instructions
-
Preheat grill. Place salmon on top of lemon slices on a piece of tin foil large enough to fold into a pouch. Sprinkle with dill, top with butter. Fold foil over and seal into a small packet; securing edges.
-
Grill for 10min or until salmon is perfectly pink and easily flakes.
Recipe Notes
I started with my lemon slices on the bottom of the salmon and then about half way through grilling I moved them up to the tom of the salmon. You can do this as well, or you can leave them on the bottom, or you can start them on the top.

Leftovers would be great in this dish!

If u do not have dill. Is there another option
Yvonne
I don’t really know that there’s a good substitute for dill. You could always just leave it off until you are able to make the recipe again with it. It does add nice flavor, so I’d suggest it if possible!

Can this be done in the oven?
Yvonne
Most certainly! Maybe 350 for 10-15 minutes or so? Give it a try!
