I was more than excited to receive Pacific Organic Steel-Cut Oatmeal in 5 Flavors! Unsweetened, Lightly Sweetened, Apple & Cinnamon, Maple & Brown Sugar, & Flax & Chia Power.
I feel like a broken record, and I’m sure you are wondering when the heck I’ll ever get over this ‘breakfast’ thing, but lets get serious. It’s so important to start your day with a healthy nutritious breakfast. If you are anything like me you are running out the door hardly put together, a million things on your mind, and less time to get where you need to go than desirable. Is that you? Just me? Well either way, the beauty of the Pacific Organic Steel-Cut Oatmeal is that it is ready to eat! Jam-packed with protein, fiber, and heart-healthy whole grains, Pacific’s oatmeal is made by slow cooking steel-cut oats in small batches to maintain a homemade taste, hearty texture and satiating nutrition. All you have to do is heat and serve.
While it’s perfectly fine to eat it as is, I thought it would be fun to ‘dress it up’ just a bit and add a fun spin on it. Of course, this variety I’d enjoy on the weekend, because everybody knows ‘ain’t nobody got time’ for this sweet version during the busy workweek. Unless you get to arrive later to work than I do. Then by all means, make this any time your heart desires! I added a warm berry compote, Maple Candied Almonds and fresh berries and it was DELIGHTFUL! Give it a whirl, and let me know what you think!

Nuts About Berries Oatmeal
Spice up your breakfast routine with this delicious Nuts About Berries Oatmeall! Topped with fresh berries, warm berry compote, and maple candied almonds. An excellent and hearty way to start your day!
Ingredients
- 1 Pacific Organic Steel-Cut Oatmeal pouch
- 1 tbsp. maple candied almonds
- 1 tbsp. warm berry compote
- Fresh berries
Berry Compote
- 1 c. fresh or frozen fruit
- 1 tbsp. fresh orange juice
Instructions
Oatmeal

Heat oatmeal according to package directions, top with compote, fresh berries, & maple candied almonds. Enjoy!
Warm Berry Compote

In a small saucepan, bring fruit and juice to a boil on medium-high heat.

Once bubbling, reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 10-12 minutes.

Remove from heat and transfer to your high speed blender (I used my Blendtec). Blend until smooth. Store in refrigerator.
