Monster Cookies // Ohmygoodness, these cookies are a peanut butter lovers dream! If you love peanut butter, then you will love Monster Cookies! You've got to make them! | Tried and TastyMonster cookies. Where does that name come from? I’ve also heard them called kitchen sink cookies, because there are so many ingredients you can add to them. I found a recipe for monster cookies on a blog I frequent and they did NOT turn out, at ALL. Boy was I sad. Not only was I disappointed that I couldn’t indulge in the cookie, I was also upset by all the dollar signs I saw being thrown right into the garbage! These are some expensive cookies to make, so the recipients better be worthy of them! I then heard of this recipe, from a friend. They were exactly what I was looking for and turned out perfectly. First time.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter softened
  • 1 c. creamy peanut butter
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. liquid coffee creamer any flavor
  • 2 tbsp. vanilla
  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 10-12 peanut butter cups regular size, chopped
  • 1 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. honey roasted peanuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Cream together butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and sugar until well blended.

  3. Add eggs, coffee creamer, and vanilla. Mix.

  4. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix.

  5.  Add chopped peanut butter cups, chocolate chips, and peanuts. Mix well, it will be difficult to stir at this point.

  6. Bake for 10 minutes, be careful not to over bake.

Recipe Notes

[My 2 Cents]
Per Cappy's suggestion I used coffee creamer in the recipe rather than milk. She says it gives them a richer flavor, but honestly I think I would prefer milk instead. These were very, very good - but I could taste the flavor of the creamer too much, so I will let you decide however you would like to make them.
