We’ve been making this since the 70s. It’s called Perfect Potluck from a Campbell’s Soup recipe book but minus cream of mushroom. Trust me, always use tomato soup and sub cream corn for mushroom soup. I don’t use chili powder but season my grd beef with garlic powder, seasoned salt n pepper or whatever lyou like. I also use the corn liquid because I also mix a bag of shredded cheese in the casserole not just on top!! Colby, Jack, Cheddar, Gruyere whatever I have on hand. 18 nieces and nephews and 25 greats all love this except the one non cheese eater!!!
This Hamburger Casserole is so delicious! I love the video too – it makes it so easy to follow. Thanks for sharing!

Is it a cap and a half of cooked noodles or a cup and a half dry noodles that you cook (yielding more noodles)?

Hi, Can someone please tell me how this recipe can only be 62mg of sodium per serving? The can of creme of mushroom soup, tomato soup and corn ad up to 4470mg of sodium total. The recipe says makes 8 servings my math shows 558mg per serving and that is not including the cheese, am I missing something?
Andrea
There’s no way. It’s wrong.

I tried this recipe for dinner last night, and it really hit the spot. The only change I made was to use frozen corn, that I microwaved, as I had no canned corn. Very good–thank you!
Jessica
I have just put frozen corn in all my casseroles the heat from everything else will cook the corn without making it pasty
Bonnie
Looking for something different for two people your meals looks so yummy that I am going to try them thank you
Anita
Really great and easy. I added garlic salt as well and just delicious!

Two things….I’m sorry I used the tomato soup. It would have been better with just tomato sauce. And..it would help if it said whether the macaroni amount was Dry or after it was cooked. I’m guessing after but you shouldn’t have to guess.

Um have you cooked anything with noodles before? I’m just at a loss… why would you measure noodles out after you cook them? I mean honestly what’s the point of even measuring out the noodles to be cooked, if you are going to cook them first anyways. 🤔
Susan
Do you cover it when baking?
Shianne
I never do
Michelle
What can you replace the corn with please?
Thank you
Jeannie
I used frozen sweet peas and they were delish

This made a quick yummy meal! I actually placed mine in 2 8×8 casserole dishes instead of a 9×13. We baked one and ate it and then froze the other one for another meal!
