I’ve been so excited to share this delicious recipe with you. I asked my IG followers if they love Alexia Foods fries as much as I do, and it turns out that I’m certainly not alone (not that I was surprised).  I love the sweet potato shoestring and waffle fries – but when I was in California for Expo West a couple of months ago I tried the ‘Crispy Rosemary Fries with Sea Salt’.  Wow! Of all the amazing foods that I tasted at the Expo, these really made an impression on me. I love the rosemary – such a fun twist of seasoning on top of the crispy fries.

According to Alexia Foods: “The crispy russet potatoes are cut with the skins on and seasoned with a generous helping of Rosemary and Sea Salt for the ultimate combination of all-natural crunch and flavor.”

According to my taste buds: Ah-maz-ing!

I didn’t stop there, I also added Alexia Foods’ Crispy Seasoned Potato Puffs with Roasted Garlic & Cracked Pepper! As much as I love the fries, I might just love these puffs even more.  Having fries and puffs together seemed like the ideal solution to my fries vs. puffs conundrum. These crispy (and yet tender and fluffy) potato puffs are flavored with roasted garlic, cracked black pepper, sour cream and chives.  YUM!!!

What’s a fry or a puff without a great dip to go with?

Here in Utah the popular dipping sauce of choice is what we call ‘fry sauce’. Pretty clever right? Basically it’s ketchup and mayonnaise. Its swept the nation and I’m sure its been made into variations of all kinds. I wanted to step outside of my box and try something different. There’s a waffle restaurant that I LOVE about 30 minutes from me. They also sell fries or ‘frites’ as they call them that are delicious. What makes them great is the dipping sauces that you can choose from. One of my favorites is a “green goddess” dip that’s oh so wonderful and I couldn’t wait to get into the kitchen and recreate this favorite sauce. The end result? Nailed it! Not only is this super tasty, it’s also SUPER easy. If you’ve got five minutes, then you’ve got time to make this great sauce!

I love all Fries’s as long as they’re crispy. I like garlic fries, rosemary fries, dill fries all without sauce. Plain fries, I like with spicy ketchup or Dijon mustard or fry sauce and sirracha. Chico is my parrot’s name.

  2. T Black

My favorite dip used to be good ol’ ketchup and mayo mixed together, but I’ve evolved to sweet chili sauce- and mayo! Thanks for the chance to win!

  3. Gabrielle

I actually don’t usually dip my fries into anything.. but that may now change! Thanks for another great recipe!

  4. Alli @ Cupcake Diaries

I’m pretty sure I missed the cutoff for the giveaway, but I still wanted to leave a comment about my love for Alexia fries!!!! That rosemary makes them fabulous. I can’t wait to try this dip!

I have never seen alexia brand, but I will look for it. My fav dip at this moment is hummus, but I love variety. This recipe looks yummy. I had Mother’s Day dinner with my niece and family last night-so yummy. Ham, beans and Ivan’s homemade potato salad and homemade strawberry rhubarb pie for dessert. It was awesome…not to mention the champagne for us 2 moms!!!

Ranch dressing on everything. Pork Chops, corn on the cob, baked potato for dinner last night. 2 Corgis named Piper and Archer. :-) Thanks for the chance to win!

Here’s what WIKI says: “Crème fraîche is a soured cream containing 10–45% butterfat and having a pH of around 4.5. It is soured with bacterial culture, but is less sour than U.S.-style sour cream, and has a lower viscosity and a higher fat content.” I got it in the cheese section, where you’d find shredded parmesan and such!

Dip, dip, dip away. I love fry sauce and have recently fallen for aioli, I am pretty excited about adding this to my repertoire.

The dip looks great! We don’t really watch TV but we have been watching some BBC productions of Elizabeth Gaskell’s books.
