It’s day 20 of our detox and things this round of the cleanse have been rough, to say the least. I feel like it’s harder this time around because we’ve done it before. Thankfully the two week juice fast is over and we’re in to the raw food phase. I’ve got a handful of juice recipes that I’m planning on sharing with you and this Green Apple Energizer is one of my favorites. I may be partial to it because it’s green and green is my favorite color – or I may love it because it’s darn delicious!
It’s been fun creating ‘recipes’ as we’ve been juicing. For the most part we just throw together what we think sounds good. We’ve also been generously given a healthy supply of home grown cucumbers and I’m happy to say that cucumber juice is quite refreshing! But the real star of this juice is the green apple! It creates the perfect tart and zing that generates the ‘energizer’ feeling. So yummy! You’ve got to give it a try!
The Green Apple Energizer
A refreshing and energizing green juice perfect any time you need a little pick-me-up!
- 4 apples
- 4 cucumber
- 8 mint leaves
- 2 limes
Juice apples, cucumber, and mint leaves using a juicer. Add fresh squeezed lime for an extra bright taste!
*This recipe is made specifically for a juicer, not a blender.
That looks delish!
It really is! You should give it a try :)
Hi Yvonne, just letting you know I am featuring this great-looking juice at Best of the Weekend tonight!
Wow Amy! Thank you so much!!! What a fun surprise!
Your green apple energy drink looks amazing. I am making this! Thank you very much for joining in the celebration of #purebloglove, we enjoy having you each week. I hope to see you on Thursday at 8PM, EST through Sunday night. ~Cydnee
Thank you so much Cydnee!
They all look beautiful and yummy! We don’t have a juicer so I’ll have to see if I can figure out a way to use some of your ideas and come up with a new concoction ;o) thanks for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things Blog Hop at Katherine’s Corner. Hope to catch up with you again this week at the hop! Nina @ Vintage Mama’s Cottage
Oooh if you come up with a new concoction – let me know, I’d for sure be interested in seeing or hearing about it!
I love the idea of juicing. I love apple. Apple, carrot, and ginger is one of my favorite homemade juice. I always make sure I have apples and carrot around the house. Will definitely try your juice recipe.
Yay for a fellow juicer! That’s awesome – if you try my recipe, let me know what you think!
This sounds fantastic!! I don’t have a juicer though :( I did just get an attachment for my kitchenaid that might work though (I haven’t looked too terribly close at it yet). Thanks for sharing on Weekend Bites! All your other drinks look fabulous as well!
It’s SO yummy!!! See if your attachment will work and give this a try – let me know if you do!

You’re welcome! Thanks for coming by to say hello!
This looks so good! I’ve had a juicer for over a year and never once used it because I am lost as can be! Can’t wait to try this one.
Oh Stephanie, you have come to the right place – I’ve got a good selection of really great juice recipes. I hope you’ll check them out!
First of all, I am making this today for some energy. I love juices… ESPECIALLY green ones. Second, your pictures are on point! I really love how you got the bubble details! Looks so delicious. We haven’t either Rachael, it’s SO much work! We tend to juice more in the summertime anyway. Thanks for pinning!
I wish I had a juicer, this looks so refreshing! (: My father in law has one… I might send him this recipe!
Visiting from http://www.andieconn.com/lazy-proof-day-5-habits-build/ and would love a visit back.
I wish you had a juicer too! It sure is a lot of work, but totally worth it for refreshing fresh juice.
Now I need a juicer! This looks great!
