The other day I wrote to my husband the most sappy love note and in it I told him that ‘he is the chia seeds to my overnight oats’. I know. Cheesy right? If you missed it, you can find the original post on Instagram proclaiming my love for him to the world. Anywhoo. At our house we LOVE chia seeds. We buy them in bulk at Costco and use them just about daily. When I learned of The Greek Gods® Nonfat Greek Yogurt with Chia Seeds I couldn’t have been more excited to get my hands on it. It is high in protein (12g in every 5.3 oz cup!), has 120-140 calories per serving and is creamy and delicious with added texture from chia seeds! Doesn’t that sound like a wonderful way to start your day (or even for an afternoon pick-me-up?). The Greek Gods® Nonfat Greek Yogurt with Chia Seeds comes in four delicious flavors with fruit or vanilla and chia seeds on the bottom: Strawberry, Peach, Blackberry and Vanilla.
What better way to top yogurt than with granola? For those with gluten or grain intolerances this is a grain free granola recipe is a recipe you’ll want to get your hands on. Made with delicious and nutritious nuts and seeds and then finished off with a hint of coconut oil and honey for sweetener. It has the perfect crunch that pairs perfectly with the yogurt and chia seeds. I made a batch on Sunday and it lasted me a few days, making it the perfect grab-n-go breakfast. The great thing about The Greek Gods® Nonfat Greek Yogurt with Chia Seeds is that it’s high in calcium, gluten free and contains live and active cultures. Much better than alternative breakfast ideas like sugar loaded cereal or toaster pastries with no nutritional value whatsoever. Can you tell I’m passionate about breakfast?
