Who knew they even made uncooked tortillas? I sure didn’t until recently and they are our new favorite :0) Using the cooked rotisserie chicken makes these flautas so simple and quick.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. 8 uncooked flour tortillas
  • 1 cooked rotisserie chicken
  • 1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Vegetable oil
  • Sour cream
  • Homemade guacamole

Instructions

  1. Cook flour tortillas according to directions on package.

  2. Shred chicken in a bowl, add mozzarella cheese and mix together.

  3.  Place a handful of the chicken and cheese down the center of a cooked tortilla, roll it up, and secure with a toothpick.

  4. Fry 3-5 minutes or until crispy. Serve with sour cream and guacamole.

Recipe Notes

[My 2 Cents]
A couple of things. If you aren't where to find the uncooked tortillas, look for them in the refrigerated section. Often times you will find them near the block and shredded cheeses. A tip to perfect frying is to make sure the oil is good and hot before you try to fry the flautas. That way they will begin cooking as soon as you drop them in, rather than soaking up the grease before the cooking starts.
