Caramel Apple French Toast // Tried and Tasty

Caramel Apple French Toast // Sometimes it's nice to have a fancy breakfast. The bonus is when your fancy breakfast can be delicious AND healthy. This Caramel Apple French Toast is a fun twist perfect for the cool fall months. A great Saturday morning breakfast or Sunday afternoon brunch idea! | Tried and TastyWhen the hubs created the Caramel Apple Oatmeal [on accident nearly] we couldn’t get enough of it. Because the ‘caramel apple’ is so delicious {seriously, if you haven’t checked it out – you have got to make it!} I wanted to incorporate it in another breakfast dish. That’s when this Caramel Apple French Toast was born. The caramel is slightly different from the other recipe, but just as amazing. I absolutely love the fact that there are no refined sugars or corn syrups involved in any way of this recipe. I know what you’re thinking. No sugar. No good. Well you’re wrong – one bite in and you’ll be swooning for another bite.

French toast is one of my favorite things to have for breakfast. My 5-Ingredient Lemon French Toast Recipe is one a goodie but quickly took a backseat to this Caramel Apple French Toast was created. I know how much I rave about my love for Summer, but I’m quickly comforted with a few of my favorite things during this time of year. One of which is APPLES! In fact, we recently picked over 160 lbs. of home-grown pesticide free organic apples from some trees of very generous friends of ours. We LOVE making homemade 100% pure apple juice (and usually make enough to last us a year until picking season comes around again). This time last year I was making all things apple… this year, all that’s on the agenda (as far as canning goes) is juice. Believe you me, I’ll be saving a good chunk of apples for this breakfast – it’s a keeper!recipe

French Toast

  • 2 apples diced
  • 1 loaf sourdough bread sliced (or bread of choice)
