This is commonly referred to as “better than anything” cake – and most popular with toffee bits instead of Butterfinger, both are equally delicious! | Tried and Tasty If you like chocolate… and caramel… and Butterfinger… then this is the cake for you! This is commonly referred to as “better than anything” cake – and most popular with toffee bits instead of Butterfinger, both are equally delicious! I really like Butterfinger, so this particularly caught my attention. The sweetened condensed milk makes this so moist and ooey gooey perfect! You will only want a little piece, because it’s so rich but you will love every bite :)

Ingredients

  • 1 box devil's food cake mix
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 12 oz jar caramel topping
  • 1 12 oz container whipped topping
  • 1-2 Butterfinger bars crushed.

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cake according to package directions. Immediately after removing the cake from the oven, poke several holes in it with a fork or a skewer.

  2. Mix the condensed milk with the caramel topping and spread over the entire cake.

  3.  Cool cake completely, then spread the whipped topping over the top, and sprinkle the crushed Butterfinger over the topping.

Recipe Notes

[My 2 Cents]
According to the website: you can make your own whipped topping by whipping 1 cup heavy cream with 1/4 cup confectioner's sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla until soft peaks form, if you don't have Cool Whip on hand, but you have heavy cream ;)

I’m not a Butterfinger fan, but I AM a fan of “ooey-gooey” soo perhaps I’ll add this one to my dessert repertoir. :)

You always come in handy for me when I am making my menu for the week. I am so putting this down for Sunday treats, it looks delecious. I have never tried it with Butterfingers and they are my favorite candy bar.

    Thanks!
