Day three and still going strong in the 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge from Simple Green Smoothies! In fact, on our way home from church today Steve said ‘I’m digging this green smoothie challenge’… to which I replied: ‘it’s easy when someone else is doing all the work eh?’. Ha! So true right? Granted, you may not believe this, but Steve does a good 75% of the cooking in our house. Right? He’s pretty much amazing. For that I’ll make him a green smoothie any day. At least for now we’ve got 27 more days that I’m eager to create new recipes. Todays recipe is a milder smoothie. Not hardly sweet at all. I’d recommend for sure that you use 1) a frozen banana and 2) two oranges instead of one. It’s not super sweet (which I suppose it doesn’t need to be).
I’ve been thinking A LOT about getting back to the healthiest me. I know. It’s the first of the year. Isn’t that what everyone is thinking about? This last year has been packed with so much of so many great things that I haven’t really been looking out for number 1 like I should have. So I’m vowing (along with everyone else) to become the best me that I know I can be. This smoothie challenge is just one of the small steps I’m helping to take me there. It’s the new year and I’m eager to jump into a few new things around here. While I have a goal list a mile and a half long, I’m just going to take it a day at a time. If you aren’t already signed up on my email list, get signed up. I’m going to be sending weekly updates and fun things through email that you won’t see here on Tried and Tasty. It’s like an extra special perk JUST for you! Plus, you get a copy of my free eBook 10 Superfoods for Breakfast: Super Fast. Super Easy. Super Tasty. So you get that bonus as well! So make this smoothie, get signed up for my email list, and lets be best friends forever. Mkay?

Fantastic, thank you so much for sharing! Glad you liked it and you’re welcome :)
Why have I never added coconut milk to my smoothies? Banana and orange are my favorite smoothie ingredients so this looks delicious! I love that you are doing 30 days of green smoothies, such a good healthy challenge!

Why haven’t you?! Great to lower the calories – and still adds a little flavor.
