Tropical Fruit & Yogurt Parfait // Want a quick and easy breakfast that will transport you to the tropics without leaving home? This Tropical Fruit & Yogurt Parfait will leave your tastebuds dancing like they're on vacation! Only five ingredients! | Tried and TastyI don’t know about you but I’m always wanting to be on vacation. Like always. Last December my husband and I went on a cruise with friends and were able to travel to the Southern Caribbean. It was nothing shy of amazing. The breathtaking views wiped all the cares of the world away. Life was easy, carefree, and simple.. for a couple of weeks. Often times I wish I could go back of course. Since I can’t, I like to enjoy this tropical parfait to taste the flavors of some of my favorite memories.

Last Saturday I had the opportunity to present at the Salt Lake Home + Garden Festival at the South Towne Expo and showed four ways you can begin your day with a quick & easy healthy breakfast! During my demo, I made one of my favorite granola recipes, my Honey Almond Granola Recipe. Once I whipped that up, I made my Fruit & Yogurt Breakfast Parfait with Honey Almond Granola. I followed that with my Strawberry & Banana Overnight Oats. I then showed this tasty tropical recipe (which I think ended up being the favorite) and ended the demo with my Orange Banana Breakfast Smoothie. The point of the hour was to prove that with a little preparation you really can have a pretty rockin’ breakfast that’s not covered in sugar like the popular sugar-coated breakfast cereals or carb-heavy breakfast pastries that are all too often too convenient to grab.
