Show of hands who loves an ooey gooey sandwich? If you said yes to the previous question then this is the sandwich for you! Traditional peanut butter and jelly sandwiches bore me. I wanted to use my favorite Dave’s Killer Bread to take the pb&j to the next level… and that I did. Are you familiar with Dave’s Killer Bread (DKB)? It’s a staple in our house and we love so many of the varieties. I was so excited to get to try the White Bread Done Right and the 21 Whole Grains and Seeds for this recipe. Mmm… SO yummy!
I know you aren’t ready to talk about this, and I certainly am not either BUT I will fill you in on this little tid bit. You know, for you to tuck away for later. When the time is right. This sandwich would be PERFECT for school lunches. Everyone will want to trade with your kid when they pull this out of their lunch box. I know. I know. Don’t throw stones at me. I’m not ready for summer to be over either. Trust me. But like I said before. Tuck away that little bit of information for down the road. When the kiddos go back to school. You can thank me later. By all means you don’t need to wait that long to make this yummy next-level-double-decker masterpiece. Give it a whirl right away. You’ll be glad you did! Plus, think of all the nutrition you’ll be getting with DKB.
Before I let you get to the recipe, I MUST tell you how wonderful this bread is. The White Bread Done Right has 3g of protein, 2g of fiber, 120 mg of Omega-3 AND 10g of whole grains. Now THAT’S what I’m talking about! Finally a white bread with some substance. AmIright? Want to know what really sold me? There’s no artificial anything. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. You had me at hello. The 21 Whole Grains & Seeds is even more awesome-er. Yep. I went there. I mean, need I say more than ’21 Whole Grains’? I think not! Both breads are great options and both work pretty killer with this Ultimate Strawberry PB&J. You’re welcome.
