Happy New Year! It’s officially the first day of the year. I took a bit more time off in December than I was initially planning on, so it’s been a minute since you’ve seen a great recipe around these parts. You know what though? That’s the beauty of being your own boss: you get to call the shots! I will say that while I was away I enjoyed one too many sweets and treats and now it’s time to detox. THANK YOU Simple Green Smoothies for helping me get my life back in order. This red velvet smoothie is on point. I’ve decided to jump onto the 30-Day Smoothie Challenge and I couldn’t be more excited.
I actually attempted this back in October but failed miserably. I have higher hopes this time around as I’ve got a plan in order. I really wanted to try the Beginners Luck for day one – but didn’t have mango, so I’ll save that one for another day. Instead I made this ultra delicious treat that both me and my husband enjoyed thoroughly. Have you gotten your hands on the new Simple Green Smoothies cookbook? Oh mercy, you must! You absolutely must if you haven’t. Not only are the photos top-notch gorgeous – but the recipe are even BETTER. Over 100 recipes fill the book to help you ‘lose weight, gain energy, and feel great in your body’. Yes please. Where do I sign?
The Simple Green Smoothies cookbook not only gives you great smoothie recipes (duh!) but for the beginners it’s great. It walks you through the difference between juicing and blending, taking care of your blender, accessories you need, how to store your smoothies, the formula for making a green smoothie and so much more. So. Much. INFORMATION! It’s a smoothie lovers dream and helps you to realize that green smoothies aren’t as scary as you may think.
