Oreo Torte // Tried and Tasty

Oreo Torte // There's nothing better than a layered dessert with chocolate, pudding, and whipped cream. Chill this for a bit and you are ready to party! | Tried and Tasty Mmm, mmm, mmm!!! By far, dessert is my favorite thing to make in the kitchen! Probably because it’s my favorite thing to eat :) This recipe came from Stef, who recently let Michelle and I sample a bit of at our last girls get-together! Let me tell you, that little taste tester left my mouth watering for more!!! The only trouble I found in making this, was keeping my grubby hands away from the Oreo’s long enough to have some left for the crust. I made a few alterations, by adding an extra package of cream cheese and changing the crust a bit. This is a keeper folks, a real keeper.

So happy I found this recipe again. I used chocolate fudge pudding instead of vanilla and found the bite size oreos and used on top . It was a big hit.

Hi Barb, I’m so happy that you found the recipe again too! Using chocolate fudge sounds like a great way to crank up the “choco-meter” on this recipe. ;)

I used to get this amazing treat from a nearby mini-mart on my lunch breaks,,,The first I tried this, my thinking was along the lines of ‘It’s got Oreos in it, I’m in’!!! However, that was twenty years ago and I’m not sure what their recipe was! This looks like it would be pretty damn delicious though, so I will give it a whirl!!

Von, I made this and it was really good! Kinda funny story though…I had Benton’s friend over for dinner last night and when Benton saw it, he said what’s in that? And I was telling him and then he went off about how he hates pudding…blah blah blah….asking me how did you not know that I hate pudding? His friend, Adam said just give it a try…you might like it? So Benton did and he smiled! He said he really liked it and honestly couldn’t taste the pudding. Thank goodness his friend was over, so he could push him into trying it.

Good story, I’m glad you shared it with me! I’m also glad Benton gave it a shot – maybe he thinks he doesn’t like pudding, but he really does! This recipe is one of my favs!
