Minty Lime Water // For a cool, crisp and refreshing beverage, try this simple three-ingredient water! If you've ever needed help getting your daily water intake, this Minty Lime Water will help you reach your goals! | Tried and TastyI know what you are probably thinking. Who needs a recipe for water? Chances are you don’t get your recommended daily intake. Am I right? Did you know you are supposed to drink at least half your body weight in water each day? When I participated in the Game On Health Challenge I drank 100 oz. daily. That’s a lot! No crystal light. No flavored sugar/energy packets. Straight water. Kick that nasty soda habit (including diet) to the curb once and for all and enjoy this instead. But seriously, your life depends on it. While you are looking for great alternatives to help you reach your goals, I highly recommend my Lemonade Cleanse as a great option as well.

I’ll be the first to admit that just plain can be a bit boring. However, if you add in a few fresh, natural ingredients it can be a whole heck of a lot easier to gulp down. What I love about this ‘recipe’ is that there is no added sugar and the ingredients are 100% natural! There are a crazy amount of benefits to drinking H2O – so if you can’t get it down plain, I highly suggest this Minty Lime Water! Even if you CAN and DO drink your daily recommendation, this is still an excellent way to switch things up that is both tasty and refreshing. What other substance helps keep you alive, rid your body of toxins and waste, prevents and helps headaches, prevents cancer, helps you lose {and maintain} weight, and so many more benefits? Seriously, SO good for you!

I absolutely love lemon water so I have no doubt I would love lime to! And the idea of adding fresh mint is amazing! AND lucky since I just got a new mint plant!

These look so good! And just in time for spring. I’m always looking for yummy drinks for the kids that are still good for them. They bored with plain ‘ol water! Thanks for linking up to Wordless Wednesday!

Having a pitcher on hand would be awesome, then you can just continue to refill as needed – thanks for the idea!

So refreshing! I’ve never been one to have trouble drinking enough water… in fact I drink too much, if that is possible. I spend half my life in the ladies room :)

Yvonne, I love this post! I’ve been looking for low-cal options to sip on. It’s just so easy to pour a glass of wine in the evening but this is such a better option.

I don’t think that’s weird that you don’t like anything in your water, but yes – this would be awesome for your husband!

  7. Maebells

This is so perfect for me because I generally do NOT get enough water during the day. I don’t drink other bad for me things, I just don’t really drink anything. I think this is just the ticket to help me get back on track!

    1. Yvonne

Well, on the bright side you don’t drink bad for you things.. but you should drink water – and this water would help you!!

  8. Meagan

Wow, this looks awesome!! I agree, it is so hard sometimes to drink that much water in the day and it not get boring. I love the water you get at the spa because they always have the mint and cucumber in it. This version looks delicious and refreshing! I’d love to give it a shot.

  9. Kim @ 2justByou

I love your AKA for this, because maybe it might be enticing to some to drink the water. =0)
I drink water all the time, plain old water. But getting everyone else in our house to drink water is definitely a challenge. Thanks for the water recipe – er – the virgin no sugar added mojito! (I’m going to serve it to my sis-in-law with the aka name.)

I can’t believe you made water look pretty! This sounds really awesome! I think I’m going to start doing it. Time to buy some mint.

    1. Yvonne

The struggle is REAL! Hee hee! Come summer time, we won’t have to buy any – our mint plant goes NUTS!

    1. Yvonne

Isn’t that crazy?!? But when I do hit that goal I feel AMAZING! But to help get that, I need a little somethin’ somethin’.. and not sugar!

    1. Yvonne

I am the same way. It’s easier if I have a plan, instead of waiting until I’m thirsy.. which sometimes isn’t until towards the end of the day. Thank you for your kind words!

  11. Emily Thompson

this looks so refreshing! It’s making me want to be by the pool sipping one of these… not in sweats in a cold rainy day ;o) The combination sounds amazing and I can’t wait to try this!

  12. Christine

I have always loved the taste of water, but I also like a nice flavored water as well! If I drank as much as you,I’d probably have to have a portable bathroom, too;) I’ve always stuck to the 8 glasses rule and I didn’t know it should be half of your body weight!

    1. Yvonne

Oh man, I am always joking about needing to just make my office the bathroom! It would make life so much easier :D

  13. amindfullmom

When my husband and I get the opportunity to go to an all inclusive resort, I order unsweetened virgin moijtos all day long. Everyone thinks I am crazy, but they are insanely delicious!

    1. Yvonne

I didn’t know you could order those?! That’s awesome! My husband and I went to an all-inclusive on our honeymoon, I would have loved to have known that! I don’t think you are crazy. Perfect for those of us that don’t drink alcohol!

  14. Catherine

Dear Yvonne, You have convinced me that you can indeed make anything look beautiful and elegant. I admit I should drink more water. I do occasionally add lemon juice when I remember, but the mint is a nice touch. This would be perfect for the summer months especially…so cool and refreshing! Pinning xo, Catherine

    1. Yvonne

Catherine you are the absolute sweetest, seriously! I love when you come to my site and visit! I struggle with my water too, so you aren’t alone! The mint is an extra nice touch – give it a try! Thanks for pinning!
