If there’s one thing I welcome about fall, it’s fall comfort food. Foods like soups, stews, cobblers and crisps. Amiright? It’s been a bit chilly (I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss the scorching hot temps) and a yummy crisp is the perfect dessert to warm you from the inside out… and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream you’re in business (my favorite is Halo Top Vanilla Bean). When I snagged a bag of Udi’s Gluten Free Granola on one of my recent grocery shopping trips I I had a feeling it would work wonderfully as a topping for a crisp – and that it did. This crisp is divine. Not only that, it’s made without any refined sugar and only wholesome ingredients. Not loaded with brown sugar or white sugar or even butter for that matter.
If you’re in the mood for something simple, tasty, and great for the chilly nights ahead I highly recommend this crisp. You could even make it in ramekins for smaller individualized portions (I love having my own little special bowl of something). Give it a try and let me know what you think, I’d love to hear from you!
