What I learned last time around during our cleanse and juice fast was that you HAVE to balance out the super-healthy-not-as-delicious-as-you-wish-it-were juice with a little bit of sweetness. Not a ton, because fruit juice is loaded with sugar. Natural sugar, but sugar none the less. During weeks one and four we are cleansing our colon. The program consists of a crazy intense SuperFood Plus concoction. It’s pretty gnarly. You mix it with juice and chug it down. I’m not a chugger. I wish I were.
To help get it down, we created this DELICIOUS recipe! Pineapple is the star, but the surprise ingredients are carrot, apple, and a hint of lemon and lime. So delicious. So refreshing. I’m a HUGE fresh pineapple juice fan, but again, it’s super sweet. We only have about 8 oz. of sweet juice three times daily with our SuperFood Plus. We then try to have 3 quarts of vegetable juice daily as well. If you’re new to juicing, I highly recommend starting out with the ‘friendly’ juices first and then work your way up. I’ll be sharing some of both. The mild stuff. Then the hard stuff.

what kind of juicer do you use or recommend?
Yvonne
Hi Karen, thanks for the good question! My favorite kind of juicer is the “slow masticating” type. These types of juicers use low RPM’s (rotations per minute) to crush produce, which tends to result in a more nutritious juice (higher RPM’s can introduce more oxidation, which can potentially harm nutrients). These types of juicers also tend to extract more juice from produce than their high RPM counterparts – especially from leafy greens.
Low RPM juicers are generally a bit more expensive, but if you are planning on making juicing a regular part of your life, I’d highly recommend the investment! Here’s a link to the juicer that I use: https://amzn.to/2VzYQMA (affiliate link)
If you’re looking for a more affordable juicer, this high RPM model would be decent starting point (but I’d still recommend upgrading to a low RPM juicer in the future if you juice regularly): https://amzn.to/2VydCDq (affiliate link)
Hope that helps, happy juicing!
