Today is a fun day! I’m over at Whatever Dee Dee Wants showing you the savory version of these delicious Spring Petal Pull-Aparts! Before I get too far, let me start by saying I absolutely love Rhodes Bake-N-Serv Rolls. That’s no secret. I’ve been contributing to their blog now for a couple of years and it never ceases to amaze me all of the wonderful things you can do with their product!! With that said, let’s talke SPRING! It’s kinda-sorta-not-really Spring in my neck of the woods. We keep getting crazy thunder/rain/snow storms that aren’t my favorite. I’m ready for warm weather, open windows, gardening and FLOWERS!
I was inspired to make this flower when thinking of Spring and my Breadstick Blossom that I made last April (believe it or not) came to mind. I remembered just how easy that was and thought I would put a fun new spin on it this time around. Pull-aparts are super popular, so away I went. I also know how delicious bread covered in a cinnamon-sugar mixture is! The Savory Spring Pull-Apart is just as mouth-watering. After seeing how popular the Magleby’s Rolls Featuring Rhodes Rolls are, I knew that would be a fun way to make a savory version. Anyway, you’re here for the sweet stuff. Let’s get to it!
Sweet Spring Petal Pull-Apart
This Sweet Spring Petal Pull-Apart is a sweet treat that's the perfect follow-up to an afternoon in the garden!
Ingredients
- 1 bag of Rhodes frozen dinner rolls regular, not Texas rolls, thawed but still cold
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 c. butter melted
Glaze
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp. melted butter
- 2 tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla.
Instructions
-
In a small bowl, mix together your cinnamon & sugar. Form the center of the flower into a ball. Dip into melted butter followed by cinnamon sugar.
-
Place onto a greased or silicone mat lined cookie sheet. Repeat and follow with eight petals placed around the center side-by-side.
-
Repeat and follow with eight petals placed around the center side-by-side. Bake at 350 F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
For the glaze
-
Combine powdered sugar, milk, butter and vanilla and mix well. Using a fork, drizzle glaze over the flower. If glaze isn’t quite the right consistency for you, simply add more sugar or more milk.
Recipe Notes
You can use the leftover glaze as a dipping sauce. It's delightful!
