Crock Pot Chicken Tikka Masala // Tried and Tasty

Chicken Tikka Masala // You haven't lived until you've tried Indian food! My favorite dish by far is Chicken Tikka Masala. You've got to add this to your menu and make it immediately, you won't be disappointed! | Tried and TastySo, this is a total rip off of a post I already have. Well, sort of. This is the “crock pot” version. I will share the recipe again with you :). Steve and I love Indian food and our favorite is Chicken Tikka. If you’ve never had it, you need to make it. It’s fabulous. If you don’t want to make it, you need to at least go to a restaurant and order it. You won’t be disapointed. I promise. The first time I had it I was a little weary, but one bite is all it took and I was hooked. The beauty of this recipe as opposed to the other is you can throw all the ingredients into the crock pot and the crock pot does all the work for you! Just like that!

    I made this the other day and loved the fact that you can just dump everything into the slowcooker – other recipes demanded to first fry the onions, garlic, etc.
    But the final result tasted a bit pungent and I can’t tell what it might be: Too much cumin, pepper or cayenne pepper? Maybe cumin or cayenne pepper as other Indian recipes I’ve made usually use less of it. I’ll be adding extra yogurt to the remaining servings to balance it out.

    Any thoughts on plain Greek yogurt as a sub for plain yogurt? Can’t wait to try this recipe this weekend! (;

      Oh man, I probably didn’t get to this in time. You can definitely try it, but not sure how it would change the consistency. It possibly may not be AS creamy, but I’m sure it would work just fine!

    I love this. I’m always on the hunt for different crock pot recipes. The typical stews get so boring! I’ll post on my blog when I try it and link to ya.

    Thanks so much for the idea of doing this recipe in the crock pot. I mixed up everything in my crock pot and put it in the fridge for tonight, so I can have an easy and tasty dinner tomorrow. Can’t wait to see how it turns out. I love chicken tikka masala.

    Yum, this looks great. I think I have most of the ingredients, it will go well with the saag paneer I have been craving.
