These were pretty simple. Besides the fact that they were delicious, they are also a very CUTE cookie!!!

4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. shortening
3 eggs, lightly beaten
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. all-purpose flour
2/3 c. powdered sugar
Place chocolate and shortening in a small saucepan. Cook and stir over low heat till melted. Cool 15 minutes. Combine eggs, sugar, baking powder, vanilla, and salt in a large bowl. Add chocolate mixture. Gradually add flour stirring until thoroughly combined. Cover; chill 2 hours until easy to handle. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in powdered sugar to coat generously. Place 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for about 10 minutes or until edges are just set. Transfer to rack to cool.
