2-Ingredient Nutella Mousse // Tried and Tasty

2-Ingredient Nutella Mousse // A wonderfully light yet decadent dessert that will satisfy any chocolate lovers sweet tooth. | Tried and Tasty Is there anything better than Nutella? I think not. I’m all about ease when it comes to taking care of a sweet tooth in a hurry. This Nutella mousse is unbelievably SIMPLE! Not only that, it’s both light and decadent at the same time. Is that even possible? There’s something amazing about the velvety hazelnut richness that Nutella has to offer. I couldn’t wait to try it in this mousse and of course I was just as impressed as I knew that I would be.

You are going to get sick of me talking about pretty food, but seriously. Isn’t this so pretty? Just imagine this fabulous dessert after a romantic dinner for two at home? Can you see it? I certainly can… with the exception that I would be enjoying it alone because my husband doesn’t touch sweets with a 10-foot pole. Who is that man and where can I get his resistance? Dangle this in front of me and I’ll almost tackle you for it. For real. Anyway. Enough about how amazing I think this dessert is, let’s talk about when YOU are going to make it? Give it a try and let me know what you think. You won’t regret it.

I had some Nutella cans in the house and when I came across this recipe I knew how exactly I wanted to utilize those. Creamy and chocolatey, everyone loved it.

Yvonne, I am always on the hunt for easy desserts, and you can’t beat two ingredients. This looks scrumptious enough that everyone will think you worked hard. A must add to the dessert file.

  3. Danielle

How do you get the Nutella folded into the cream evenly? I’m making this as I type and the Nutella isn’t evenly distributing and is difficult to incorporate.

  4. Fran

can I make this a day ahead for dinner guests? Or, must it be served right away? Also, can I add a drop of some kind of liquor to it? (for adults only) Thank you.

My son is a nutella freak! Planning on using it inside a chocolate roll cake with some peanutbutter buttercream for his birthday.

  6. Shanna

I was looking for someone who actually made it to see what they thought so I went ahead and made it using a little vanilla in the whipping cream and toasting almonds for my topping along with some dark chocolate chips! It is good

Um… I would guess that it would not work well – it’s really quite fluffy. Maybe if you whipped your cream extra long or added cream cheese that might work?!

If you pipe a dam of buttercream frosting around the perimeter of the bottom cake layer first, then fill in the inside with the mousse, it should work!

Wow! Two ingredients and so much healthier for me when I have an ice cream craving! Looks like an elegant version of the Frosty. :)
